About this course
Southbourne's General English course is 15 hours a week of morning lessons covering speaking, listening, reading and writing, with grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary built in. All levels are taught, from beginner (A1) to proficiency (C2), and a pre-arrival placement test puts you in the right class. Students on 4+ week courses get regular tutorials with their class teacher, and 8+ week courses include homework and progress reports. Courses start any Monday, and weekly prices drop at 12, 24 and 40 weeks. The school is in Southbourne, Bournemouth, a ten-minute walk from the beach. Southbourne has been teaching English since 1966 and is British Council accredited.
